The BlackBerry Leap is a new smartphone based on the BlackBerry 10 OS.It is an “ all- touch ” smartphone – i.e. no physical keyboard -which is targeted at “career builders and companies who value security and privacy”.It is a BlackBerry 10 OS (BlackBerry 10.3.1) based smartphone and at a low price of $275 off-contract is one of the most affordable BlackBerry phones running on BB10. Although the blackberry leap looks somewhat like the blackberry Z3 which debuted a last year MWC,but the leap comes with a much higher specs.

The affordable all-touch blackberry Leap
sports a 5-inch HD display with a 720 x
1280 pixel resolution amounting to 294ppi pixel density. Under the hood is a 1.5ghz dual core Qualcomm processor. It also includes 2GB RAM, 16GB space of internal storage and a microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB).
The leap houses an 8MP auto-focus rear
camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. The device can record 1080p videos at 30fps and also has a 5x digital zoom.
Connectivity option includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A-GPS, 4G LTE and microUSB v2.0. The Blackberry leap runs on BlackBerry 10.3.1 out-of-the- box with its power juice supplied by a non- removable Li Ion 2800mAh battery that claims to last for up to 25 hours of heavy use.
